Keacy Carty delivered a splendid performance in the second ODI against England in Cardiff, scoring 103 runs and marking his fourth century in One Day Internationals.  His composed innings was instrumental in helping the West Indies post a competitive total of 308 runs, with support from Brandon King (59) and captain Shai Hope (74).  Carty's achievement is particularly noteworthy as he continues to establish himself as a key player for the West Indies.  His previous centuries include an unbeaten 128 against England in November 2024, which was his maiden international century and made him the first West Indies player born on the island of Sint Maarten to achieve this feat.  In the current match, England faced early setbacks in their chase, losing openers Jamie Smith and Ben Duckett cheaply.  Joe Root anchored the innings with a poised half-century, surpassing Eoin Morgan as England’s leading ODI run-scorer.  Despite efforts from Harry Brook (47) and Jacob Bethell, England lost wickets regularly and faced a challenging task to reach the target under fluctuating weather conditions.
