Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

He is 82 years old and recently consulted a doctor due to urinary problems. Medical tests found a nodule in his prostate, and he was diagnosed with prostate cancer on Friday. The cancer has spread to the bones, which makes it more complicated.

Biden's cancer is characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (grade group 5), which indicates it is a highly aggressive cancer. However, since it is hormone-sensitive, some effective methods of treatment can be applied.

Following the news, leaders of various political parties expressed condolences and well-wishes to Biden and his family. Former President Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Barack Obama all wished Biden a speedy recovery.

Biden and his family are currently consulting with doctors to consider possible treatment options. Since the cancer has spread to the bones, surgery is not an option; however, hormone therapy and other treatments may be applied.

Biden's diagnosis marks the beginning of a new chapter in his long political career, as he battles cancer. People around the world are standing by him in his struggle.
